John Agustus & Geraldine Gordon

This grant is named in honour of John Agustus and Geraldine Gordon, my resilient parents. Living in Cambridge, they were pillars of the community, known for their dedication to family, their service in the church, and their entrepreneurial spirit. My father (Dada), a tailor, farmer, Red Cap Porter, and preacher, and Geraldine (mama), an entrepreneur and later a practical nurse, faced life's toughest challenge when Dada passed away tragically. Despite this, Mama's unwavering determination saw her six children through school and college. Our story is one of overcoming adversity with the support of a caring community. “Like my family, many others in our community face hardships. Inspired by my parents' legacy and the support we received, the Rosalee M. Brown Kindred Sisters Foundation established this grant to empower young girls through education. Since 2020, we've supported four girls, but there are many more who need our help." "By contributing to the JOHN AGUSTUS & GERALDINE GORDON GRANT, you're not just donating; you're investing in the future of these young girls and our community. Together, we can ensure that financial barriers never hold back the potential of our next generation. Join us in this mission."" Thank you for reading and for your generous support. Remember, every contribution makes a significant difference. Let's continue the legacy of John and Geraldine by opening doors for those who need it most."
